Saddam Hussein’s capture is already reaping dividends for the occupation forces, providing intelligence that led to the capture of several top regime figures, and uncovered rebel cells in the Baghdad, a US general said today.

The US military hopes Saddam will clear up allegations that he had chemical and biological weapons and a nuclear weapons programme, said Brigadier General Mark Hertling of the 1st Armored Division.
