Woman to fight on over frozen embryos
A woman fighting a landmark case to save her frozen embryos from destruction is to continue her legal battle in England, it was announced today.
Natallie Evans, 31, said today that she is to appeal against a High Court decision earlier this month that would prevent her using frozen embryos stored at an IVF clinic to have children without the consent of her former partner.
Ms Evans had until the end of today to decide whether to appeal against the ruling seeking to overturn the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act.
Lorraine Hadley, 38, who was fighting a joint case with Ms Evans, announced at the weekend that she would not be pursuing an appeal.
Ms Evans said she could not comment on the reasons why but confirmed she was applying for permission to appeal today.
