Zimbabwe central bank outlaws money hoarding

Zimbabwe’s central bank outlawed money hoarding today as an acute currency shortage wreaked havoc with the country’s battered economy.

Police will search for and seize local currency exceeding about €700 from individuals or businesses in a bid to get cash back into the banking system.
