Crash child making strong recovery
A two-year-old Sudanese boy who was the sole survivor of an air crash which killed 116 people, including his mother, was today said to be improving at a hospital specialist burns unit.
Mohamed el-Fatih Osman was moved to the specialist unit at Broomfield hospital, Chelmsford, Essex, last month following the crash in the Sudan.
His condition when he arrived at the hospital was said to be ācriticalā, but a spokeswoman today said the youngster was improving and may leave the unit in about two weeks time.
āHe is making a very good recovery,ā said the spokeswoman.
āHis condition is now stable and he may leave here and be moved to Great Ormond Street hospital in London in about two weeks time.ā
Mohamed suffered 15% burns and lost half of a leg in the crash in early July
