Militants sentenced to death for bombing
Two Islamic militants were sentenced to death today for their part in a suicide car bombing that killed 11 French engineers outside a Karachi hotel.
The verdict came against Asif Zaheer and Bashir Ahmed, both members of Harakat-ul Mujahedeen al Almi, a banned Islamic group.
The sentences were handed down by an anti-terrorism court in a heavily fortified jail in the restive port city.
