Most Palestinians reject road map, says Hamas leader
Hamas spokesman Abdul Aziz Rantisi, who was targeted by Israel in a missile strike two days ago, has said the majority of Palestinians rejected the "road map to peace".
From his hospital bed in Gaza, he told the Today programme: “Palestinians rejected that agreement and I think Abu Mazen (the Palestinian Prime Minister) should respect the will of Palestinians.
“Abu Mazen has either to be with the Palestinian people or with Sharon, and I prefer that he is with the Palestinian people.
“The Israelis say to the world that they are with peace but on the ground are practising terror. I believe they are looking for escalation all the time, because the ones who are far from peace are the Israelis themselves.”
