Bush to spend €186m and use 9/11 to get re-elected

George Bush plans to spend a record €186m on his re-election campaign which will be launched near the third anniversary of the September 11 attacks, it was reported today.

The US President will double the budget from his disputed 2000 election victory over Al Gore, despite facing no serious rival for the Republican nomination.
