Premier's suspected assassins shot dead
Serbian police tonight shot dead two men described as top suspects in assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic
Dusan Spasojevic and Milan Lukovic, were shot as they were resisting arrest, the Interior Ministry said.
The two were allegedly leaders of the Zemun Clan, a crime gang that has been accused of masterminding the March 12 assassination of Djindjic.
“The suspects resisted arrest and opened fire on police officers ... they were killed in ensuing shooting,” the ministry said.
