THE trial of 13 suspects charged with the assassination of reformist Serbian prime minister Zoran Djindjic opened with the suspected mastermind still at large and conspiracy theories rife.

POLICE have found the grave of a missing former Serbian president they believe was killed by an elite police unit also suspected in the slaying of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, authorities said yesterday.

Police today said they had uncovered the grave of a former Serbian president who had been missing for three years.
