Iraqi weapons of mass destruction site may have been found
US Forces claim to have found a plant in Iraq where weapons of mass destruction may have been made.
A Jerusalem Post reporter with a 3rd US Infantry unit says the site was discovered in the city of Al-Najaf, about 90 miles from Baghdad.
US officials have confirmed the find of a suspected chemical facility and experts are trying to determine whether it is involved in making chemical weapons.
American troops reached Al-Najaf yesterday on a push to Baghdad.
Lieutenant General John Abizaid of US Central Command says top Iraqi officers have been questioned about chemical weapons.
"We have an Iraqi general officer, two Iraqi general officers that we have taken prisoner, and they are providing us with information," Abizaid said.
