Baghdad blitzed for second time in a day
For the second time in a day, British and US forces launched precision strikes on Baghdad, leaving its ministry of planning in flames and Saddam Hussein’s loyalists wondering when a promised full-scale blitz would begin.
The night sky crackled with flashing light and anti-aircraft fire, reminiscent of the 1991 war, as the Tomahawk cruise missiles began dropping on the city once again.
