Chemical attack will be met with 'dramatic response'

The top American general in Kuwait pledged today that any use of chemical weapons by Iraq in a looming war would be met with a “dramatic” response.

Lieutenant General David McKiernan said that the threat of chemical and biological weapons is the biggest danger faced by the 100,000 mostly American and British troops under his command as they mass south of the Iraqi border.
