Thousands of relatives, colleagues and friends of the 97 people who died in last week’s Rhode Island nightclub fire joined in a pair of memorials and pledged to see each other through the disaster.

“It’s so sad, but so nice to see all these people come together,” said Kim Ondrick, who attended a vigil yesterday at the West Warwick Civic Centre with her friend, Sherry Lariviere.
