Officials say propane barge exploded at Staten Island
Officials have said that a propane barge may have exploded off the oil storage facility in Staten Island.
It is said that the barge could be carrying up to a million gallons of propane at the facility in New York.
It isn’t immediately clear whether any of the dozens of oil tanks in the area are burning.
The explosion, which could be heard several miles away, occurred at the edge of Port Mobile, near the Outerbridge Crossing that links the island to New Jersey.
