Sept 11 accessory starts jail term

The first man convicted in connection with the September 11 attacks is today beginning a 15-year jail term in Germany.

28-year-old Mounir Al Motassadek was found guilty of being a member of al-Qaida and accessory to mass murder in Hamburg yesterday.

The Moroccan was a friend of Mohammed Atta, the lead hijacker on the first plane to crash into the World Trade Centre.
