Undie-cover vandal smashes €150,000 of windows
A vandal wearing nothing but his underpants smashed £100,000 (€151,000) worth of windows in one street in Wales today.
A total of 40 windows were damaged at 22 shops in the early hours in Cardiff city centre’s Queens Street.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “In excess of £100,000 worth of windows have been broken.”
Rosemary Baldwin, manager of Marks & Spencer in Queen Street, said: “Windows have been smashed down the whole street. We had our front window smashed.
“The man was only wearing his underpants.” Police said a 30-year-old man of no fixed abode had been arrested in connection with the incident. They are appealing for witnesses.
