Denis Thatcher leaves hospital after coronary op

Denis Thatcher left hospital today 11 days after a six-hour coronary bypass operation.

The husband of former Conservative British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher looked frail, but cheery as he left Harley Street Clinic in central London.

Accompanied by his son Mark, the 87-year-old smiled and said: “I survived thanks to the skill of the hospital staff.”
