Shooting was a 'terrorist attack' says US

The US says the shooting of two of its citizens in Kuwait was a terrorist attack.

One was shot dead and another injured when gunmen opened fire near a US military camp.

Both victims were civilian contractors working for the US armed forces.

The pair were in a vehicle on Highway 85 north of Kuwait City when they were attacked. They were near Camp Doha, which is home to 17,000 American troops.

An official at Kuwait's Interior Ministry said the second US victim was not seriously hurt, but did not describe his injuries.
