Teenage girls shot dead in Birmingham

Two teenage girls were shot dead during a party at a hairdressing salon today, police said.

Two other girls at the same function, in Birmingham, were also shot and are recovering in hospital.

West Midlands Police have launched a murder inquiry and are conducting a forensic search of the scene in Birchfield Road, Aston, after the incident at 4am.

Police said the two girls who died were aged 17 and 18. The two injured girls were also 17 and 18.
