Briton awaits appeal for Pearl murder

A former British public schoolboy, sentenced to death for the murder of American reporter Daniel Pearl, will have his appeal heard in Pakistan next month.

An appeals court in Karachi has set January 15 for the opening of the hearing to consider appeals by Sheikh Ahmed Omar Saeed and three others convicted of kidnapping and killing Pearl in February.
