McDonald's worker hides blades in pies

A former McDonald’s employee in Louisiana told the FBI he was going to commit suicide at work after hearing voices in his head, but changed his mind and put the razor blade he was going to use in an apple pie.

After a customer cut her mouth on the razor, Adam Fontenot, 18, said he “didn’t want people to think he was crazy, so then he put two more blades in pies” to make it appear they were put in at the factory, an FBI agent said.

But prosecutors hinted at other possible motives, saying Fontenot had frequently clashed with management during his two months at the restaurant.

They said the woman who was hurt was not specifically targeted by Fontenot, who faces 10 years in prison if convicted. He has been fired by McDonald’s.
