Disaster tanker was not seaworthy says pilot

The Danish pilot who guided the ill fated tanker Prestige out of the Baltic into the North Sea claims the vessel was unseaworthy, it was reported today.

Jens Joergen Thuesen told the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten: “The ship should never have been allowed to sail”.
