Man fighting for life after 'sniper' attack

A 37-year-old man was fighting for his life today after being shot in what is feared to be the 12th attack by the Washington serial sniper.

The victim was gunned down as he left a restaurant with his wife in Ashland, Virginia, about 90 miles south of the US capital last night.
