Gunmen kill three near Jakarta palace
At least three people were killed by unidentified gunmen today in a busy street near Indonesia’s presidential palace.
Four assailants on motorbikes opened fire outside a money changer’s office about 200 yards from the palace in the capital Jakarta, said Aman, a street vendor who saw the attack.
The gunmen then fled the scene, he said. Like many Indonesians, he uses only one name.
Two other injured people were taken to hospital, he added, saying that the victims had been sitting in front of the currency exchange.
