Spanish people set to protest at terrorist attacks

Spain is promising a tough stance against terrorists after a car bomb killed two people including a six-year old girl. Government officials are blaming Basque separatist group, ETA, for the explosion.

The blast happened south of Alicante on the Costa Blanca, where thousands of Irish holidaymakers are staying.

Spanish people are planning to take to the streets later today in protest at the attacks. Reporter, Paul Breen-Turner, who is in Southern Spain said the protest is expected to be huge.

"Possibly up to one million people I would have thought will be planning to protest today in Victoria, Balbao and in San Sebastian. There has been absolute disgust and horror, as always, and you have to remember that Southern Spain has been targeted before," he said.
