Vaccine to halt foot-and-mouth

Efforts to prevent any new outbreak of the foot-and-mouth disease should be based around a vaccine, a new British report into the disaster is expected to recommend.

The British Royal Society report, is the first of two major studies into the British government's handling of last year's epidemic which cost the taxpayer £8bn (€12.4bn).
