Greek police announced today they have a suspected November 17 terrorist in custody, their first-ever breakthrough in a 27 year war against Europe’s most elusive urban guerrilla group.

The left wing gang has claimed more than 20 victims. Its last was British military attache Brigadier Stephen Saunders, who was shot as he drove to work in Athens in June 2000.
