Thirteen killed in road crash

Thirteen passengers, including two foreigners, were killed today when a bus collided with a truck on a road in central South Korea, officials said.

The accident took place near Ockchon, 124 miles southeast of Seoul, said Kim Hyang-mi, an official at the National Highway Corporation.

The identities of the two foreigners killed were not available, said Kim. Eleven South Koreans were also killed.

Kim said several other passengers were believed injured.

She said it was unclear whether the bus passengers included World Cup tourists. South Korea is co-hosting the tournament.

Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
