India says it will retaliate if necessary
The Indian defence minister has said that India are prepared to retaliate if Pakistan launches weapons against its country.
Yogendra Narain said in a weekly magazine that India would retaliate in the event of a nuclear strike.
This interview comes after President Musharraf of Pakistan sought to calm international fears yesterday about a nuclear war.
With both sides having massed roughly one million troops along the border, the international community has now started pulling out some of its citizens in the Asian countries.
