US troops kill three allies in Afghanistan

Three Afghani soldiers have been shot and killed by US troops after they were mistaken for members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group.

The US soldiers opened fire on their allies, killing three and injuring two, near the eastern Afghani city of Garde.
