Pilot freed in terror case demands apology

A pilot accused of training the September 11 hijackers tonight demanded a public apology from the United States government over its failed bid to extradite him to stand trial.

A British magistrate freed Lotfi Raissi last month, dismissing the case against him and saying there was ‘‘no evidence’’ to support claims he was involved in terrorism.
