Six die in 'suspicious' UK fire
Six people, including five young sisters, have died in a suspicious house fire in the UK.
The ‘‘intense’’ fire broke out at an address in Birkby, Huddersfield, in the early hours of this morning, West Yorkshire Police said.
The sisters were aged from six months to 13 years, the spokesman said.
Inspector Diane Booth said officers and forensic teams would be at the scene throughout the day looking for evidence.
‘‘The fire is being treated as suspicious. This is the home of an Asian family at this early stage the investigation has established the incident is not racially motivated,’’ she said.
