Mohamed al Fayed has launched a new legal bid to try to force US authorities to release documents surrounding the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and his son Dodi.

The Harrods boss petitioned a Los Angeles federal court to make the FBI, CIA and the US Attorney’s Office respond to previous subpoenas issued in his long-running legal battle.

Egyptian-born Mr Al Fayed claims Diana and Dodi were murdered because the Royal family disapproved of their relationship.
