At least six dead after ship sinks in Greece

At least six people have reportedly drowned after a ship carrying illegal immigrants in Greece sank in rough seas near the holiday island of Naxos.

The 60ft wooden vessel issued a distress signal after taking on water and initial reports said six people aboard the ship had drowned.

A gale is currently hampering rescue efforts.
