Daniel Pearl murder trial adjourned for a week
The trial of a British man accused of masterminding the abduction and murder of a US reporter in Pakistan was adjourned for a further week today.
28-year-old Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who was born in Britain, is facing the death penalty if convicted of the charges.
Daniel Pearl, a reporter with the Wall Street Journal, disappeared in Karachi in January while researching a story on Islamic militants.
A video-tape showing his murder was later sent to US officials in the city, but his body has not been found.
