Boston flight aborted after passenger threats

A Delta flight from Boston's Logan Airport to Florida was aborted before takeoff today after a passenger demanded to be let off and made a threat.

The man, whose identity was not released, was being questioned, said airport spokesman Phil Orlandella.

Orlandella said he didn't know the nature of the threat.

The 118 passengers were taken off the Delta Express flight to Orlando and their luggage was put onto the tarmac to be rescreened.

"The stewardesses kept walking up and down comforting a lot of the passengers on the plane, because they had a lot of questions," passenger Greg Venier told local television.

One of the planes that hit the World Trade Center on Sept 11 took off from Logan Airport.
