Sept 11 hoaxer escapes jail sentence

A British woman who got a free trip to New York after claiming her brother was a firefighter missing in the September 11 terror attacks escaped being sent to prison today.

Olabisi Iyabo Buraimoh, 54, was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £600 in compensation and costs by a judge at Horseferry Road Magistrates’ Court in central London.
