Euro MPs to vote on stricter safety rules for supplements

Euro MPs were set to clash today while meeting to vote on whether to introduce new EU safety rules for almost all food supplements containing vitamins and minerals.

Some food supplement makers claim the directive could force the closure of health food stores and outlaw popular mineral pills.
