Ayatollah says Bush is seeking world domination

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has accused the United States of seeking to achieve world domination.

In a speech to mark Hajj, the annual Muslim pilgrimage, Mr Khamenei said US President George W Bush is using his claims of promoting peace in the Middle East as cover for his goal to control the wealth of Arab nations. He said it is a shame that "a country with a long record of sponsoring terrorist operations" is taking the lead in a so-called "war against terrorism".
