Two British peacekeepers have been sent home from Afghanistan to answer questions about an incident in which they alleged opened fire on a taxi carrying a pregnant Afghan woman to hospital.

Two British peacekeepers have been sent home from Afghanistan to answer questions about an incident in which they alleged opened fire on a taxi carrying a pregnant Afghan woman to hospital.

Local police in Kabul are also investigating the incident, during which six paratroopers manning an observation post on Saturday night allegedly riddled the car with bullets, killing the pregnant woman’s brother-in-law.
