The UN Children’s Fund said a spate of attacks on aid workers highlighted deteriorating security in Afghanistan and further hampered badly needed aid delivery.

Unicef information officer Chulho Hyun said the shooting and wounding of one of his Afghan staff members in the northern town of Mazar-e-Sharif showed the security situation in the country was of serious concern.
