US soldier sparks alert in LA airport

An off-duty US soldier caused a security alert at Los Angeles International Airport today after attempting to carry military explosives on to a passenger plane.

The man, a member of the National Guard, was arrested after trying to take the stolen explosives through a security checkpoint in the airport.
