‘Trusted traveller' scheme to be tested

The American government is to test a ‘‘trusted traveller’’ card which would allow holders to bypass most security checks at airports, it was reported today.

The hi-tech card is to be tested using air crew and would involve them giving detailed background information to the new body set up to guard American planes.
