Powell refuses to bow to kidnappers' demands

US Secretary of State Colin Powell has ruled out bowing to the demands of kidnappers who are threatening to kill an American journalist.

He says Pakistan is doing everything it can to free Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
