We should have killed Arafat in Lebanon - Sharon

Israel should have killed Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat when he was under siege in Beirut 20 years ago, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said in an interview published today.

Sharon was defence minister during Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon, and led the push to drive Arafat and his Palestine Liberation Organisation out of that country.
