Earthquake shakes southern Mexico
An earthquake has struck southern Mexico, cracking walls of houses and a hospital.
Mexico's National Seismological Service reports the moderate quake had a magnitude of 5.1.
It was centered near the Veracruz-Oaxaca state line near the Rio Papaloapan.
Oaxaca state's civil defence secretary, Heliodoro Diaz Escarraga, said the only damage reported were cracks in the walls of some buildings, including the hospital in Tuxtepec.
The quake was felt throughout the Tehuantepec Peninsula
