Australian asylum seeker hurt in protest
A refugee at Australia’s controversial Woomera detention centre has been injured in a rooftop protest.
The man was hurt when he got caught up in razor wire.
Refugees clambered onto the roof during the protest which is linked to an 11-day hunger strike by almost 200 Afghan refugees.
The Australian government has ceased to process applications by Afghan asylum seekers until it can establish whether they can safely return to their war torn country.
