Taliban and al-Qaida prisoners to be moved to Cuba
Taliban and al-Qaida prisoners were being assembled by US forces at Kandahar airport in southern Afghanistan today from where they will be flown more than 8,000 miles to Cuba.
Prisoners, hooded and chained, were shuttled from locations throughout Afghanistan to the marines’ main jail at the airport. Others were moved from the US warship Bataan in the Arabian Sea.
