Three German tourists killed by avalanche

Three German tourists are dead after an avalanche roared down a mountain side near a ski resort.

It happened south of the Tyrolean ski resort of Kitzbuehel.

The tourists were engulfed by the 100 yard snow slide and plunged to their death over rocky terrain.

A fourth German who was not buried has survived without injury.
