Newly released US government documents have proven that the US administration approved Indonesia’s bloody and murderous invasion of East Timor in 1975.

The previously classified papers show that former President Gerald Ford and then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger approved the invasion at a meeting with Indonesian dictator General Suharto on December 6, 1975. The invasion began less than 24 hours later.
